All students must: 1) Attend live Online/ On phone class 2) Attend all Group sessions* 3) Get Perfection in recitation of Tajweed and Translation of Quran.
4) Submit all Tests and Assignments on time 5) Pay all course fees on time 6) Complete the Course during its duration. Listening and Completing Lessons
Attendance in Live Class & Group Sessions Live attendance is required during class timings by all courses, attendance must be maintained at 90% to qualify for a Certificate Students are expected to be punctual and regular during their course for class and groups Missed Classes or Groups must be made up in a timely manner for partial credit, unexcused absences will not be given a chance to make up groups. Note: All students who make up classes and groups do not qualify to be a position holder for that term. Group Time Groups are mandatory and integral part of the course. Group time allows for individual attention to students in a small group. Special emphasis is given on Tajweed, Translation and Tafsir to enhance and improve learning of students. Group time will be held outside of class time - frequency of group time will depend on the course. Its is compulsory for every student to attend groups.
Group lesson can be done on phone or internet (skype, yahoo, paltalk etc)
Note: Saut al Quran courses do not have a group time Groups ( Oral Assessments)
Oral Assessments for Tajweed and Translation are done after half Juz to bring perfection in recitation of Quran and memorization of Translation.
There are 10 marks for Oral Assessments for each Juz.
Excused Absences Only absences which are excused from Live Class, Group Time and from paying Late Test/Assignment Fees are:
No Show Policy Students have a certain amount of time to inform their Group Incharge or Course Incharge of their absence, after this time a student is automatically dropped from the course and must pay the rejoining fee. Students will not be notified they are being dropped by the course. 2 weeks time will be given for 3 to 5 days a week courses. 1 month time for once and twice a week courses. Switching/Rejoining Courses Students may switch or rejoin a course if they wish by paying the rejoining fee on the Buy Now right below A $50 fee will be charged every time a student switches or rejoins any course after being dropped from a course. Forward the receipt to the course if you are rejoining. The course will re-add the student after receiving the receipt forwarded by the student. Students who drop & rejoin will be placed in a new group once one is available, they will not be re added to the previous group. Students who wish to switch courses may do so by paying the switching fee. This fee can be paid at the time of registration for the new course. The registration can be found on the bottom of the Course page. The Admission Form for the new course will be found on the Registration fee processing page. Please forward the receipt to the new course along with your new registration number. Tests and Assignments Test and Assignments are modes of assessments to check understanding and comprehension of each Juz by the student. It is compulsory for all registered students to attempt exams (translation tests, assignments and subject tests) as per requirement of their course and obtain minimum 80% marks in it. Exams are emailed/uploaded with a due date of three days for Translation test and a week for Assignments to attempt them, and post/mail to the address provided by the course. If any student without a valid excuse (one mentioned above) mails their tests/assignments after the due date, they will be fined $5 for every extra week, Maximum of $15. Make the payment, print the receipt and mail it with the late test. Note: Student who will appear in retest or submit test/ assignment late do not qualify to be a position holder for that term. Tests and Assignments Lost in Mail All students who post their tests and assignments. If the test and assignment are lost in the mail we will accept the copy of the Test/ Assignment lost and marks for late submission will not be deducted. If the student has not kept copy of the test before posting those students have to re-attempt the Test and Assignment again. Certificate/Diploma Requirements On Completion of each Course students are given Certificate/ Diploma from Al-Huda Institute Canada in their annual Graduation Ceremony. Students must meet all requirements of the courses and pass all tests/assignments with 80% marks. After the completion of the course a three months time will be given to complete previous exams. After that time, $50.00 extension fee applies per month for up to 2 months, or a year extension can also be taken. If a student joins the Course after it has begun, they have the option of registering & completing the missed juz with the next course and Graduating with them. Please pay the extension fee below, after making the payment please forward the receipt to your course incharge. |
